India has an ancient history of society based on the concept of philanthropy. Vedas; a large body of texts originating in ancient India are the oldest scriptures of Hinduism. The Rig Veda, one out of the four Vedas, refers to some elements of collective social entrepreneurship which manifested in the form of charity as a duty and responsibility of a conscious human being.
India’s development needs are vast; the resources to meet them are not. Private philanthropy, institutional and individual, offers an obvious alternative, especially as India has a long and distinguished tradition of philanthropy.
Keeping in mind the need to contribute to a social cause and address the various developmental challenges facing the country with the primary objective to enable and advance new frontiers of social, economic and sustainable development in the Union Territory of J&K and Ladakh, and India, and with a resolve to Act in National Interest always Public charitable trust “KhushHal Bharat – Call To Action ” was registered.
